Triathlon & duathlon racing

IMG_0141.JPG

As school lacrosse captain and a county swimmer, I always thought triathlon was for me. Motivated by an army triathlete I met climbing Mt Rinjani in Indonesia who told me I was 'fit for a girl', that my determination truly kicked in. I bought a bike when I got home, gave it a go, and never looked back.

Since then, I’ve raced as a professional athlete and podiumed at every distance from sprints to Ironmans - across triathlons, duathlons, and with relay teams – in dozens of races, and in exciting places all around the world.

Ironman Wales where I finished 3rd, qualified for the World Championships, and became the Army Triathlon Champion was definitely one of my favourite races. Being featured on Channel 4 while racing the Wales Long Course Weekend was a highlight. A 10 km swim in Coniston Water was also a really fun experience!

I’ve captained some amazing teams over the years and, as a BTF coach, I’ve trained both clubs and individuals. I’ve organised several overseas training camps and been elected to many different club committees, all while making some lifelong friends along the way!
